TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a 26-week assignment in Fairbanks, Alaska. The Rad Tech will work 40 hours per week with an 8-hour rotating shift, supporting imaging procedures and patient care on site.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in radiology or related field is required.
• BLS, ARRT (R) certification, and state licensing when required are mandatory.
• Candidates should be able to stand/walk for long periods and understand anatomy and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and review imaging requests.
• Explain imaging procedures and obtain patient cooperation.
• Position patients and adjust imaging equipment for proper views.
• Utilize shielding and safety practices to minimize radiation exposure.
• Calibrate imaging equipment and ensure image quality for interpretation.
• Prepare imaging results for physicians to review.
• Maintain accurate patient records and PACS entries.
• Operate McKesson PACS system as part of workflow.

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Fairbanks, Alaska.

We are looking for a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Fairbanks, AK. The right Rad Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging
• Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to appropriate position
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to patient by taking appropriate protection precautions
• Calibrate imaging equipment
• Prepare results for Physician to review
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.

Rad Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Rad Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
