Job summary

TotalMed Allied in Concord, MA seeks a Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment with 40 hours per week on rotating 8-hour shifts. The Rad Tech will operate imaging equipment, ensure image quality, and protect patients during radiologic testing.

The role requires ARRT (R) and BLS certification, plus state licensing where required. You will support physicians with accurate results and maintain patient records in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience.
• BLS certification and ARRT (R) national certification, plus state licensing when required.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods; sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity, review imaging requests, explain procedures, and provide reassurance to patients.
• Follow physician orders regarding imaging areas.
• Position patient and adjust imaging equipment for proper positioning.
• Minimize radiation exposure by using proper protection procedures.
• Calibrate imaging equipment.
• Prepare results for physician review and maintain patient records.
• Utilize McKesson PACS system to manage images.

We are looking for a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Concord, MA. The right Rad Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

As a Rad Tech

you will be responsible for the use of diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. Rad Techs are also responsible for preparing and caring for patients undergoing radiologic testing.

Tasks

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging
• Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to appropriate position
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to patient by taking appropriate protection precautions
• Calibrate imaging equipment
• Prepare results for Physician to review
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.

Rad Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Rad Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
