You will review orders, position patients, operate imaging equipment, and collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals. 13-week assignment, 40 hours/week, nights.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Registered with ARRT in radiography (ARRT).
• Radiography accreditation through IEMA‑DNS.
• CPR or BLS certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic, portable, C‑arm, and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Position patients and educate them on safety and comfort; operate imaging equipment.
• Review clinical histories and verify orders; consult radiologists as needed.
• Apply ALARA radiation protection principles; ensure image quality and proper identification.
• Coordinate scheduling and assist with teaching and training of staff.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in radiography (ARRT).
  • Radiography accreditation through IEMA-DNS.
  • Approved Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days.
• Additional Information:
  • Performs diagnostic radiographic, portable, C-arm, and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Reviews clinical histories, verifies appropriate orders and laboratory results, and consults with radiologists as needed.
  • Provides patient education and positions patients to demonstrate the area of interest while promoting comfort and safety.
  • Selects and operates imaging equipment, image capture devices, and accessories.
  • Applies radiation protection principles and ALARA practices to minimize exposure.
  • Initiates basic life support when necessary.
  • Processes images and verifies proper identification and quality.
  • Documents procedure details, medication reconciliation, safety incidents, and adverse events according to protocol.
  • Operates mobile radiologic equipment in operating rooms, emergency rooms, and at patients bedsides.
  • Assists with fluoroscopic and special X-ray examinations, including contrast media preparation and administration.
  • Provides instruction to radiography students and training to new technologists.
  • Coordinates patient and staff schedules as needed.
