Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Radiology Technologist for a travel assignment in Asheville, North Carolina. The role is a 13-week engagement with 40 hours per week, days shift, travel employment type.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of Radiology Tech experience, BLS, ARRT (R) certification, and state licensing where required. Responsibilities include patient positioning, image acquisition, PACS use, and accurate record-keeping, with benefits and travel support provided.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of radiology technologist experience.
• BLS and ARRT (R) certification required; state licensing if required.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and have knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
• Familiarity with PACS systems such as McKesson PACS.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and review imaging requests, explaining procedures to patients.
• Follow physician orders on areas to image.
• Position patients and adjust imaging equipment correctly.
• Minimize radiation exposure with proper protection.
• Calibrate imaging equipment and prepare results for physician review.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.

We are looking for a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Asheville, NC. The right Rad Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging
• Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to appropriate position
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to patient by taking appropriate protection precautions
• Calibrate imaging equipment
• Prepare results for Physician to review
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.

Rad Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Rad Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
