Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Morristown, New Jersey. The Rad Tech will operate diagnostic imaging equipment, prepare patients, and ensure high-quality images for physician interpretation.

Immediate opening with 13-week duration and 39 hours per week—days shift. Requirements include ARRT (R), BLS, and state licensing as applicable, plus 1 year of Rad Tech experience.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience.
• Must have BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.
• ARRT (R), BLS, 2 Years - Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required.
• Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging.
• Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to appropriate position.
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure by taking protection precautions.
• Calibrate imaging equipment.
• Prepare results for Physician to review.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
