Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Leawood, Kansas. The Rad Tech will perform diagnostic imaging, ensure image quality, and assist physicians with interpretation while caring for patients through the imaging process.

Required: 1 year of experience, ARRT (R), BLS, and state licensing as applicable. The role demands familiarity with PACS, anatomy knowledge, and strong patient interaction skills.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of radiology experience.
• Must have BLS and ARRT (R) certification.
• State licensing as required for the assignment.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Solid knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Explain imaging procedures to patients and obtain informed cooperation.
• Position patients and adjust imaging equipment to proper angles.
• Follow physician orders for imaging areas.
• Minimize radiation exposure using safety protocols.
• Calibrate imaging equipment and prepare results for physicians.
• Maintain accurate patient imaging records.
• Operate McKesson PACS system.
