Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Elgin, IL. The ideal candidate has 1 year of radiology experience, BLS, ARRT(R), and state licensing where required.

Responsibilities include patient prep, positioning, and operating imaging equipment, with duties centered around patient safety and accurate record-keeping. Travel compensation includes a 40-hour work week and evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience.
• BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.
• Rad Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods, with knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Follow physicians' orders on imaging area to image.
• Position patient and adjust imaging equipment.
• Protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure.
• Calibrate imaging equipment.

We are looking for a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Elgin, IL. The right Rad Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging
• Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to appropriate position
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to patient by taking appropriate protection precautions
• Calibrate imaging equipment
• Prepare results for Physician to review
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.

Rad Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Rad Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
