The role involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including fluoroscopy, portable X‑Rays, and C‑Arm procedures in both emergency and diagnostic department settings. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position requires a self‑starter with strong team skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations.
Shift Information
- Rotating 10‑hour shift, from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with one weekend every four weeks and 12 hours of call per month.
- 12 hours of non‑billable orientation and a call‑off policy allowing up to 36 hours every 13 weeks.
- 100‑mile radius restriction preventing local candidates.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years in a clinical setting with trauma experience preferred.
- Certifications: ARRT (Registered Technologist), BLS (Basic Life Support), and Nebraska license.
- Experience in emergency and diagnostic imaging, proficiency in trauma, portable X‑Rays, fluoroscopy, and C‑Arm procedures.
- Must be willing to float between emergency department and diagnostic department.
Responsibilities
- Perform fluoroscopy, diagnostic X‑Rays on inpatients and emergency patients.
- Perform portable X‑Rays on patient floors.
- Perform C‑Arm procedures in the operating room.
- Cover portable X‑Ray duties on floors with no support staff except those on floors.
Additional Information
- Dress Code: Red scrubs; hospital‑provided scrubs for surgery.
- Training: Departmental on‑the‑job training and scheduled orientation starting with NEO protocols.
- Typically handles 20‑25 patients per shift.
- Candidate must be adaptable and able to manage changing clinical situations.
