Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist or RN in radiology.
• Current BLS certification and ARRT (T) certification required.
• State licensure may be required for the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using radiology equipment.
• Position patients accurately and comfortably for each treatment session.
• Verify treatment settings and patient identity before delivering therapy.
• Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
• Use imaging technology (CT, X-ray) to guide accurate treatment delivery.
• Document treatment details and maintain patient records.
• Communicate with physicians and team members.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, side effects, and care.
• Inspect, maintain, and calibrate radiology equipment.
• Follow radiation safety protocols for patients and staff.
