Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a travel assignment in Gunnison, CO. You will work a 40-hour week, with 8-hour days, as part of a 16-week travel engagement starting 11/23/2026.

The Rad Tech will perform diagnostic imaging, prepare patients, and ensure high-quality images for physician interpretation. ARRT (R), BLS, and state licensing are required, with 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience.
• BLS certification, ARRT (R) national certification, and state licensing as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging and ensure image quality for interpretation.
• Prepare patients for radiologic testing and provide patient care.
• Position patients and operate imaging equipment safely to minimize radiation exposure.
• Calibrate imaging equipment and maintain accurate patient records.
• Familiarity with McKesson PACS system.

We are looking for a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Gunnison, CO. The right Rad Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

As a Rad Tech, you will be responsible for the use of diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. Rad Techs are also responsible for preparing and caring for patients undergoing radiologic testing.

Tasks

As a Rad Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging
• Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to appropriate position
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to patient by taking appropriate protection precautions
• Calibrate imaging equipment
• Prepare results for Physician to review
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.

Rad Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Rad Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
