Required Qualifications
- One year’s experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- Current Radiologic Technologist / Radiography license in compliance with state regulations
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
- Current ARRT Certification
- Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
Summary
The Radiologic Technologist performs advanced imaging procedures using radiographic equipment to produce high‑quality images that aid physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The role ensures patient safety, maintains equipment functionality, and collaborates with healthcare teams to deliver accurate diagnostic results.
Essential Work Functions
- Educate patients about imaging procedures and answer questions if they arise
- Prepare and operate advanced radiologic equipment to capture high‑quality diagnostic images according to physician orders
- Maintain equipment and sterilize the room in which procedures take place
- Evaluate images for quality, present images and preliminary findings to physicians and the healthcare team
- Maintain and inspect imaging equipment for proper functionality, troubleshoot issues, and report malfunctions as needed
- Document all imaging procedures and technical details accurately in patient records
- Follow hospital safety rules and procedures including infection control and radiation safety protocols
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of Radiologic Technologist practice

- Reading/comprehending written and verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills

- Maintain a stationary position and move about
- Move equipment (50–100lbs), push, pull, and bend

- Work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) with a positive attitude and professionalism
Technical/Motor Skills
- Perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures or using department equipment

- Work under close supervision occasionally and sometimes independently
- Handle irregular activity schedules and maintain continuous concentration on detail
