Qualifications

• Most states require licensure.
• Certification from ARRT in Radiation Therapy.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Eighteen months of Radiation Therapy experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic doses of radiation in cancer treatment.
• Discuss treatment plans with patient in partnership with oncologist and physician.
• Establish correct radiation dosage and treatment area.
• Explain potential side effects and management options.
• Operate radiotherapy equipment safely and accurately.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
• Provide high quality, cost effective patient care and maintain patient focus.
