Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed external beam radiation therapy using linear accelerators; verify patient identity and treatment parameters per plan.
• Position patients and apply immobilization devices to ensure accurate, reproducible treatment delivery.
• Operate treatment delivery equipment and perform routine quality assurance checks in accordance with protocol.
• Monitor patients during treatment, observe for adverse effects, and communicate changes to the radiation oncologist.
• Document treatment delivery, patient response, and any deviations in the medical record.
• Collaborate with the radiation oncology team, including physicians, dosimetrists, and nursing staff, to ensure safe, effective care.
