Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Radiation Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Washington, DC. You will administer targeted radiation therapy, position patients, and ensure safety according to treatment plans while collaborating with the clinical team.

The role emphasizes precision, patient care, and adherence to radiation protection protocols. Candidates should have an accredited Radiology Therapy program and at least 1 year of relevant experience, with ARRT certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Radiation Therapist.
• Proven ability to read and follow treatment prescriptions and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Position patients for treatment accurately per prescription.
• Administer prescribed radiation doses using approved equipment.
• Perform routine checks on radiation therapy equipment and troubleshoot as needed.
• Review prescriptions and patient data for accuracy against the treatment plan.
• Maintain radiation safety for patients and staff.
• Document dosages, equipment settings, and patient responses.
• Conduct treatment sessions independently under physician direction.
• Enter data into computer systems for treatment controls.
