Job Summary
Radiation Therapist (RTT) Location: Not specified. This position involves performing prescribed planned courses of radiation therapy in accordance with department policies, procedures, and standards of professional radiation therapy practice. The role includes conducting assessments, treatment planning, and delivering treatments while ensuring patient safety and education.

Job Details

• Position Description: Performs radiation therapy treatments by following and verifying referring providers' orders. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures.
• Certifications and Education Requirements: Must possess a strong knowledge of clinical care as normally obtained through an Associate degree in radiation oncology or related field. Must have national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensure by the state regulatory agency if applicable. BLS certification required.
• Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Responsibilities: Operates treatment and treatment planning equipment, prepares and administers prescribed doses, maintains accurate documentation, and demonstrates competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures. Ensures a safe environment by adhering to radiation safety practices and maintaining equipment quality control.
• Additional Information: The position may involve directing the activities of students and support staff at select facilities. Candidates must demonstrate effective communication skills, human relations skills, and be safety conscious.
