MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a Radiology Therapist for a travel assignment in Leesburg, Virginia. This contract runs 13 weeks starting 10/12/2026 with a 40-hour work week and dayshift schedule.

The role requires ARRT Radiation Therapy certification, licensure, CPR, and ideally 18 months of radiation therapy experience, preferably in critical care. Travel and housing support are provided.

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiation Therapy certification required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Prior Radiation Therapy experience (18 months) preferred, ideally in critical care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic doses of radiation for cancer treatment.
• Discuss treatment plans with patient in collaboration with oncologist/physician.
• Establish correct radiation dosage and treatment area.
• Explain potential side effects and management strategies.
• Operate radiotherapy equipment and ensure safe delivery of treatment.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.
• Maintain accurate patient treatment records.
• Promote a safe, patient-focused care environment.

Duties Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Radiation Therapist is to deliver therapeutic doses of radiation in the treatment of cancerous growths.

• Discuss various treatment plans with patient; developed in partnership with a clinical oncologist and physician.
• Establish the correct radiation dosage and location or area to treat.
• Help patients to understand the potential side effects of radiation treatment and how to manage any associated side effects.
• Safely provide the correct radiotherapy treatment to patients.
• Operate the medical equipment used for radiotherapy.
• Assure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practiced guidelines.
• Delivers quality, cost effective patient care in a professional manner.
• Works effectively to maintain an environment of excellence, which is patient focused, providing timely, compassionate, quality patient care.
• Promotes and maintains a safe work environment for both staff and customers, incorporating national patient safety initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of patient treatment regimen.
