Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiation Therapist for a travel assignment in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This position offers 40 hours per week on a 10-hour day shift.

As a Radiation Therapist, you will administer prescribed doses, position patients, verify settings, and use imaging to guide treatment. The ideal candidate has 1 year of experience, BLS, and ARRT (T) certification.

State licensure may be required; travel pay includes a tax-free stipend and weekly pay through TotalMed Allied.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using radiation therapy equipment
• Position patients accurately and comfortably for each treatment session

• Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort
• Use imaging technology (e.g., CT, X-rays) to guide accurate treatment delivery
• Document treatment details and maintain accurate patient records
• Communicate effectively with physicians, dosimetrists, and other team members
• Educate patients and families on procedures, side effects, and care during treatment
• Inspect, maintain, and calibrate radiation therapy equipment regularly
• Follow strict radiation safety protocols for both patients and staff

As a Radiation Therapist, you will be responsible for administering radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by a radiation oncologist. You'll play a critical role in the treatment of cancer and other diseases, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accuracy throughout the therapy process.
