Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiation Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Philadelphia, PA. You will administer radiation treatments, position patients, verify settings, and use imaging to guide therapy, ensuring safety and accuracy throughout the process.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience, BLS, ARRT (T) certification, and state licensure may be required. Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, patient education, and collaboration with the care team.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using radiation therapy equipment.
• Position patients accurately and comfortably for each treatment session.
• Verify treatment settings and patient identity before delivering therapy.
• Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
• Use imaging technology (e.g., CT, X-rays) to guide accurate treatment delivery.
• Document treatment details and maintain accurate patient records.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, dosimetrists, and other team members.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, side effects, and care during treatment.
• Inspect, maintain, and calibrate radiation therapy equipment regularly.
• Follow strict radiation safety protocols for both patients and staff.
