Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Radiation Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Oak Lawn, IL. The role involves administering radiation treatments, positioning patients, and using imaging to guide therapy. This travel position requires 40 hours per week and days shift.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
• Current BLS and ARRT (T) certification required.
• State licensure may be required.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed radiation doses using therapy equipment.
• Position patients accurately for each treatment session.
• Verify treatment settings and patient identity before therapy.
• Monitor patients during procedures for safety and comfort.
• Use imaging guidance (CT/X-ray) to deliver accurate treatment.
• Document treatment details and maintain patient records.
• Communicate with physicians, dosimetrists and team members.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and possible side effects.
• Inspect and calibrate therapy equipment regularly.
• Follow radiation safety protocols for patients and staff.
