MedPro Healthcare Staffing seeks a travel Radiation Therapist for a Rockford, Illinois assignment. This 13-week contract offers 40 hours per week with day shifts and travel benefits.

The role focuses on delivering radiotherapy, coordinating with oncology teams, and maintaining patient safety. Required are licensure, ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy, CPR, and roughly 18 months of related experience, preferably in a critical care setting.

Qualifications

• Licensure is required in most states.
• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Approximately 18 months of Radiation Therapy experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic doses of radiation to cancer patients as part of treatment plans.
• Discuss treatment plans with patient in partnership with oncologist and physician.
• Establish correct radiation dosage and treatment location.
• Explain potential side effects and management strategies to patients.
• Operate radiotherapy equipment and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of patient treatments.
