Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a Radiation Therapist for a travel assignment in San Angelo, Texas. The role runs 13 weeks with a 40-hour workweek, dayshift, travel employment status.

You will administer radiation treatments, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with the care team to deliver precise therapy. The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience, holds a current ARRT (T) and BLS certification, and may require state licensure.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
• Current BLS certification and ARRT (T) certification.
• State licensure may be required.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using therapy equipment.
• Position patients accurately and comfortably for each session.
• Verify treatment settings and patient identity before delivering therapy.
• Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
• Use imaging guidance to deliver accurate treatment.
• Document treatment details and maintain patient records.
• Communicate with physicians, dosimetrists and team members.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and side effects.
• Inspect, maintain, and calibrate therapy equipment regularly.
• Follow strict radiation safety protocols for patients and staff.
