Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiation Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Monroeville, PA. The role covers 40 hours per week, with 10-hour day shifts, requiring ARRT (T) and BLS, and state licensure as applicable.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of experience and are prepared to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment delivering precise radiation therapy and maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
• Current BLS certification.
• ARRT (T) National Certification.
• State licensure may be required.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using radiation therapy equipment.
• Position patients accurately and comfortably for each treatment session.
• Verify treatment settings and patient identity before delivering therapy.
• Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
• Use imaging technology (CT, X-ray) to guide accurate delivery.
• Document treatment details and maintain accurate patient records.
• Communicate with physicians, dosimetrists, and team members.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, side effects, and care.
• Inspect, maintain, and calibrate therapy equipment regularly.
• Follow strict radiation safety protocols for patients and staff.
