Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Radiation Therapist for a travel assignment in Gainesville, FL. The role requires at least 1 year of experience and current BLS certification, with ARRT (T) certification preferred. State licensure may be required.

This is a travel position with 40 hours per week and 8-hour shifts. You will administer radiation treatments, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with physicians and dosimetrists.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as Radiation Therapist.
• Current BLS certification.
• ARRT (T) National Certification.
• State licensure may be required.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by a radiation oncologist.
• Position patients accurately for each treatment session.
• Verify treatment settings and patient identity before delivering therapy.
• Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
• Use imaging guidance (CT, X-rays) to deliver accurate treatment.
• Document treatment details and maintain accurate patient records.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, side effects, and care during treatment.
• Inspect, maintain, and calibrate radiation therapy equipment regularly.
• Follow radiation safety protocols for patients and staff.
