Job summary

AMN Healthcare Allied in Silver City, NM seeks a Travel Physical Therapy Assistant for a 13-week assignment. You will provide PTA services in skilled nursing, align with a PT, and support movement and pain management through therapeutic exercises.

Requirements include an associate PTA degree, NM PTA license, current BLS, and at least 6 months PTA experience within the last 5 years; shifts are 8 hours daily, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program is required.
• Active New Mexico PTA license is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• At least 6 months PTA experience in the last 5 years is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients through exercise, stretching, massage, gait and balance training and other interventions.
• Work under supervision of a physical therapist.
• Support rehabilitation goals and regain movement for patients in skilled nursing.
• Document progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
