Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel Physical Therapy Assistant for a travel job in White River Junction, Vermont. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide care and support patient plans of care in a home health setting.

Responsibilities include administering treatments, implementing plans, and documenting progress. This 13-week contract offers a 40-hour work week with day shifts and travel considerations for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid PTA license in Vermont and New Hampshire or possess a compact license.
• Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• One year of home health care experience preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Administer treatment to patients as prescribed by a physician after evaluation by a registered Physical Therapist.
• Implement treatment plans developed with the Physical Therapist to promote recovery and independence.
• Facilitate active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, and functional training.
• Utilize therapeutic equipment such as ultrasound, diathermy, UV and IR lamps.
• Monitor, document, and report changes in patient conditions to the supervising PT.
• Educate patients and caregivers in self-care techniques and home programs.
• Complete required clinical documentation accurately and timely per agency standards.
