Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (General) for a travel assignment in Salinas, California. The 13-week contract starts on 11/09/2026 with 35 guaranteed hours per week and a 5x8 shift (08:00–16:30) in a skilled nursing facility.

Weekly pay ranges from $1,693 to $1,743, with ongoing recruiter and assignment support. The role requires CA PTA licensure or eligibility, strong documentation, and patient-safety focus in geriatric rehab settings.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in California.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Availability to work a guaranteed 35-hour week on a travel assignment schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for adults in a geriatric rehab setting.
• Prepare and apply therapeutic modalities and therapeutic exercises as directed.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment, document progress, and report changes to the supervising PT.
• Assist with transfers, gait training, and activities of daily living as part of the rehab program.
• Maintain clean, safe treatment areas and properly sanitize equipment between sessions.
