Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Miami, FL, with a 12-week duration and 36 hours per week. The PT will evaluate patients, develop and execute plans of care, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team in an acute care setting.

Qualified candidates should have at least 6 months of experience, or 12 months for stronger backgrounds, along with BLS and state-specific licensing.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; new grads encouraged.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians).
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care.
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition.
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
