Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for an assignment in Williamsburg, Virginia. The role is a travel position with 13 weeks duration, 40 hours per week, and 8-hour days.

The therapist must have at least 6 months of experience (1 year preferred) and hold a valid Physical Therapy license plus BLS. Responsibilities include supervising PTAs, handling billing, and coordinating care with Medical Center staff while complying with state regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience; 6 months may be accepted for exceptional candidates.
• BLS certification and state-specific licensure required.
• Ability to stand and walk long periods; strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
• Able to supervise PTAs and support staff; collaborate with therapy team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and therapy staff.
• Bill within the facility following guidelines.
• Follow state rules and PT board regulations.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to plan care.
• Understand adaptive equipment and its use.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care; modify as needed.
• Use Medical Center computer systems daily.
• Provide timely documentation per guidelines.
