Job summary

AlliedTravelCareers is coordinating with Towne U.S. LLC to place a Travel Physical Therapist (PT) in Saint Simons Island, GA for a 13-week assignment. The PT will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and provide interventions to improve mobility, strength, and functional independence.

This travel assignment offers housing/travel stipends, benefits, and ongoing recruiter support, with potential extensions and diverse clinical settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Active Physical Therapist license in the assignment state or ability to obtain one.
• Previous Physical Therapist experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification may be required depending on the facility.
• Strong clinical, communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Flexibility and adaptability to travel healthcare environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and functional goals.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, strengthening, mobility training.
• Assist patients in improving mobility, transfers, ambulation, and functional independence.
• Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, safety, and home programs.
• Recommend and train patients in the appropriate use of assistive devices.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Participate in care planning and discharge planning as appropriate.
• Adapt effectively to new facilities, clinical teams, and patient populations throughout the assignment.
