Responsibilities

• Perform telemetry strip readings and fingerstick glucose checks.
• Float to all acute units within the facility as needed.

Job Summary

Progressive Care Nurse (RN) for a facility in Hawaii. This position involves providing primary nursing care, telemetry monitoring, and performing procedures such as telemetry strip reading and fingerstick blood sugar checks within a 15-bed unit that includes step-down intensive care and telemetry services. The role requires a Hawaii license by the start of the assignment and is scheduled to begin on October 19, 2026, with an expected end date of January 18, 2027.

Job Details

• Shift: Rotating, 8 hours per shift, scheduled for a minimum of 40 hours per week following orientation.
• Required Qualifications: State of Hawaii nursing license, at least 1 year hospital acute care experience within the last year, current PALS and NIHSS certification preferred, ACLS preferred. Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience and telemetry experience are preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Telemetry monitoring, telemetry strip reading, fingerstick blood sugar checks experience.
• Float: Float to all acute units in house, including Medical, Surgical/Pediatrics, ICU, and Emergency Room departments.
• Additional Information: Candidates must arrive the Thursday prior to start date for necessary employee health appointments. Candidates should not accept the start date if they are unable to arrive on time.
