Job Summary

The nursing position in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) involves providing specialized care for cardiology, electrophysiology, and cardiac surgical patients. The registered nurse must bring their license on the first day and possess a minimum of 1.5 years of recent equivalent experience. This role requires rotation shifts, including nights, with the ability to adapt to a dynamic healthcare environment.

  • Skills: Chest tubes, tubes, drips (Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, amiodarone), lines/tubes/drains for post‑surgical patients, tracheostomy/laryngectomy, telemetry, complex wounds, central line care and maintenance, blood draws, hemodynamic monitoring, invasive blood pressure monitoring via arterial lines, Nitro, primacor, dobutamine, dopamine drips, Bi‑PAP/C‑PAP, low dose pressors, vasoactive medications, and external pacers
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with epicardial wires and TR bands.
