Cross Country TravCorps, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN in PCU – Progressive Care Unit for a travel assignment in Newark, Ohio. The role involves 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week, and delivering high-quality nursing care within a specialized unit.

Responsibilities include assessments, care plan development, documentation, discharge planning, and teamwork to promote patient safety. BLS/ACLS are required before first shift; 2+ years bedside experience is highly desired.

• Ensure personal and environmental safety per hospital policies.

Job Summary

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Southeast Ohio. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients within a specialized care unit. The RN will perform clinical assessments, develop and implement patient care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote patient safety and optimal health outcomes.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: BLS Certification required prior to first shift; ACLS certification required prior to first shift; minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience highly desired; 0 years of experience required.
• Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Responsible for performing nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission and creating individualized care plans.
• Participates in patient rehabilitation programs and initiates discharge planning from day of admission.
• Provides timely and accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and responses.
• Communicates pertinent patient information to support continuity of care and patient safety.
