VyTalent Solutions is seeking a travel RN for PCU in Asheville, North Carolina. The role is a 12-week contract in a hospital setting with 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts, ASAP start. Ideal candidates are local or travelers with active RN licensure and the ability to work in a fast-paced unit.

Responsibilities include direct patient care in PCU, monitoring vitals, administering medications, and collaborating with the care team. Cerner EMR experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes in patient conditions promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments such as IV infusions, chest tubes, and PCA pumps.
• Conduct neuro and spinal checks, and assist with procedures like C-Collar placement and lumbar drains.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure patient safety and comfort, following unit policies and guidelines.
• Document patient care activities accurately in Cerner EMR system.
• Float to stepdown, med-surg units as needed, maintaining flexibility across units.
