Job summary

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Oregon, Ohio. The RN will maintain quality patient care per the care plan, supervise ancillary staff, and emphasize safety and patient education in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in an acute care setting. The RN is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality patient care by following the nursing care plan, supervising ancillary nursing personnel, and ensuring patient safety. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and personalized patient education to promote optimal health outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification prior to first shift, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification prior to first shift (CIRH only), minimum of two (2) years bedside clinical experience, ICU experience preferred, and flexibility to work from 09/28/2026 to 12/28/2026.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or similar acute care environment.
• Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, participates in interdisciplinary team communications, and initiates discharge planning and patient education from day one. Responsible for supervising nursing staff, ensuring safety protocols, and contributing positively to the unit's team environment. Demonstrates ongoing professional development through continuing education and self-study.
