Job summary

TotalMed RN in Yankton, SD is seeking a Preoperative travel nurse. You will support pre-surgery care, coordinate plans with the patient and team, and ensure readiness for procedures. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience and current ACLS/BLS certifications.

As a Pre-op travel nurse, you will handle IV therapy, bedside care, and documentation while adapting to a fast-paced environment. Expect a 13-week, 40-hour weekly schedule with travel benefits and industry-leading pay.

Qualifications

• RN with 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Preoperative RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer pre-surgery medications as needed.
• Evaluate admission documents and identify emergency procedures.
• Coordinate nursing care with patient/family and interdisciplinary team.
• Provide basic bedside care and IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and report abuse as needed.
