Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions seeks an experienced Postpartum RN for a travel assignment at a high-acuity hospital in Tucson, AZ. The 13-week contract runs nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with 36 hours per week.

Applicants must hold an Arizona RN license, have at least 2 years postpartum experience, and be comfortable in a large hospital. Travel experience and strong clinical skills are required; valid for the entire contract period.

Qualifications

• Active RN license eligible to work in Arizona.
• Minimum 2 years of postpartum RN experience.
• High-acuity hospital experience required.
• Experience in large hospital settings preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple patients and changing clinical priorities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be comfortable working 12-hour night shifts.
• Must be available for the full contract period.
• Location: Tucson, Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum patients.
• Monitor maternal and newborn status and identify changes requiring intervention.
• Perform postpartum assessments and monitor vital signs, pain, bleeding, and recovery.
• Support patients with breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum education.
• Administer medications and treatments according to orders and facility protocols.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, lactation consultants, and other members of the care team.
• Provide patient and family education related to postpartum recovery, medications, warning signs, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and infection-control procedures.
• Work effectively in a high-acuity hospital environment while maintaining patient safety and quality of care.
