MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Post Partum for a travel assignment in Topeka, Kansas. You will care for women and their newborns across the birth continuum in a fast-paced travel role.

Requirements include active RN license, accreditation, and BLS/ACLS/NRP/PALS with 18 months of L&D experience. Benefits cover housing, health insurance, and travel reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS and AWHONN certifications.
• Minimum 18 months of recent acute care L&D experience.

Responsibilities

• Labor and Delivery nurses provide care to women and newborns during antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and neonatal stages.
• Monitor maternal and neonatal vital signs during birth.
• Assess for potential high-risk problems and respond appropriately.
• Educate and support mothers and families after birth.

• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Labor & Delivery (L&D) setting
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility

Duties Responsibilities

Labor and Delivery Nurses (RN), also called perinatal nurses, provide care and support for women before, during and after delivery of the baby. They are responsible for making sure that the medical as well as the emotional needs of the patient are adequately met throughout the entire birthing process.

• Labor and Delivery (LD) nurses provide care to women and their newborns during the antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and neonatal stages.
• Monitor vital signs of the mother and baby during birth.
• Monitor patients for potential high risk problems.
• Educate and support mothers and their families after giving birth.
