Job summary

Supplemental Health Care in Des Moines, IA is seeking a travel Polysomnographer for a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts. This contract role offers weekly pay and a path to reliable, well-supported opportunities with top facilities.

As a Sleep Tech, you will set up equipment, attach sensors, monitor patients during sleep studies, record data, and coordinate with healthcare teams to inform treatments under supervision of a sleep medicine physician.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in polysomnography or a related field is required.
• Certification from a recognized organization, such as the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT).
• Commitment to BRPT code of conduct is required.
• Enrollment in an accredited polysomnography program or completion of a Sleep Technology Approved Resource (STAR) program is required.

Responsibilities

• Explain the procedure to the patient.
• Set up equipment, attach sensors, and monitor the patient while they undergo the sleep study.
• Record data, write reports, and collaborate with healthcare professionals regarding recommended treatments.
• Work under the supervision of a sleep medicine physician.
