The POLY (Polysomnographer) position is based in a busy sleep disorders unit. This role involves performing sleep study procedures, educating patients on prescribed therapies, and troubleshooting technical equipment.

The role requires working with all age groups and adhering to American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) standards, with rotating 12-hour shifts and a 36-hour weekly schedule. Travel assignment in Weston, WI.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology, Respiratory Technology, or related medical specialty.
• Minimum of two years of related work experience in Sleep Disorders field preferred.
• BLS (AHA) certification required. RPSGT certification required.
• Knowledge of sleep disorders and data gathering for patient care.

Job Summary

The POLY (Polysomnographer) position is based in a busy sleep disorders unit. This role involves performing sleep study procedures, educating patients on prescribed therapies, and troubleshooting technical equipment. The position requires working with all age groups and adhering to American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) standards.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Graduate of an accredited program in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology, Respiratory Technology, or other medical specialty preferred. Minimum of two years of related work experience in Sleep Disorders field preferred. Possess knowledge of sleep disorders, electrical safety, with the skill to utilize computers for patient documentation and data gathering for patient care. BLS (AHA) certification required. RPSGT certification required.


• Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, typically starting at 1800, with shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; may include work during the week and overtime availability.


• Additional Information: Performs duties related to sleep studies, including patient education, monitoring, and documentation in accordance with facility guidelines. May oversee students and staff providing patient care, and participate in scoring or tabulation of studies as needed.
