Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a Pipe Welder to perform welding and pipe fitting on large‑scale mechanical construction projects. The role involves welding pipes from 3/4" to 18" and supporting various systems, with travel across North America required.

Qualifications

• Pass a 6G weld test (2" schedule 80 steel, stick with 60/10 root, 70/18 cap).
• Extensive travel required; typical 10‑day tour with 10–12 hour shifts.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive up to 10 hours.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Experience with high‑pressure, steam, gas, or process piping systems.
• Pre‑employment and regular drug testing; safety‑sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Weld pipe from 3/4" to 18" (commonly 2"–6").
• Perform welds on compressors, vessels, evaporators, condensers, and prefabs.
• Cut, bevel, fit, and weld with open root techniques without inserts.
• Complete up to 50 diameter inches of weld per day.
• Operate grinders, wire wheels, torches, and rigging tools.
• Assist with insulation, electrical, and painting tasks.
• Follow precise welding procedures and measurements.
• Maintain a safe, clean, productive jobsite.
