Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a PICU travel nurse in Springfield, MO. This 13-week assignment requires 36 hours per week across 12-hour day shifts as a Travel RN, with immediate start in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience and current BLS, PALS, TNCC, and ACLS certifications. Benefits include weekly pay and full medical coverage as part of TotalMed RN’s travel staffing network.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience
• Pediatric ICU (PICU) experience preferred
• Current BLS, PALS, TNCC, ACLS certifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and initiate corrective action
• Follow monitor readings (EKG, O2, CVP/arterial line) and report changes
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs
• Monitor and adjust ventilators and other equipment
• Assist physician during examinations and procedures
• Assist with CV catheters, arterial lines and endotracheal tubes
