Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU for a 13-week assignment in Springfield, MO. The role involves high-acuity pediatric care, coordinating patient plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. You will work 12-hour nights, with a travel pay package designed for experienced PICU RNs.

The position requires current RN licensure, BLS, and either PALS or ENPC, with preferred ACLS and CCRN certifications. Competitive benefits accompany the assignment.

Qualifications

• One year of recent PICU RN experience required.
• Valid RN license in accordance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to pediatric patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications per pediatric nursing protocols.
• Operate and monitor advanced equipment (ventilators, monitors) as needed.
• Observe patient conditions, document findings, and alert physicians to changes.
• Monitor vital signs and initiate rapid interventions when necessary.
