Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Santa Clara, California. The assignment runs for 13 weeks with 36 hours per week and 12-hour night shifts. Start date is 10/19/2026 and requires 1-2 years of acute care experience.

The PICU RN will provide critical pediatric care, monitor vital signs and equipment, and collaborate with physicians and families. Required certifications include BLS, PALS, ACLS.

Qualifications

BLS, PALS, ACLS required
1 year acute care experience required
PICU travel nursing assignment

Responsibilities

Monitor patients' vital signs and initiate corrective action
Follow continuous cardiac and respiratory monitor readings and report changes
Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs
Monitor and adjust equipment such as ventilators
Assist physician during examinations and procedures
Assist with CV catheter and arterial line insertions and related care
