Job summary

Aya Healthcare has an immediate opening for a PICU Registered Nurse in Oakland, CA. You will work nights in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, focusing on critically ill children with complex conditions.

The role requires a BSN and 1 year of RN experience in PICU/critical care, with BLS and PALS certifications. Epic is the charting system used, and the assignment lasts 13 weeks with a 3, 12-hour night schedule.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience in PICU or critical care
• BSN required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications
• Strong knowledge of ABGs, IVs and central lines

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for critically ill pediatric patients.
• Monitor and manage ventilated patients in the PICU.
• Administer vasoactive medications and blood products as needed.
• Perform procedures and monitor invasive lines with strict infection control.
