Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel PICU RN for a 13-week assignment in Austin, TX. The role involves delivering advanced, patient-centered care to critically ill pediatric patients in a high-acuity setting.

You will work 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts, supporting families and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and high-quality outcomes. Travel experience and pediatric critical care credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent PICU RN experience.
• Valid RN license in Texas or eligible to practice.
• Current BLS certification.
• PALS or ENPC certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to pediatric patients and families to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per pediatric nursing protocols.
• Operate advanced medical equipment and assist physicians during treatments.
• Monitor vital signs and patient status, notifying physicians of changes.
• Document patient history, assessments, and care plans in medical records.
