Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for a PICU assignment in Washington, DC. This 13-week travel role offers a 36-hour work week with 12-hour nights, a fast-paced pediatric ICU environment, and a chance to deliver advanced care to critically ill children.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of PICU experience, an active RN license for DC, BLS and PALS or ENPC, with ACLS and CCRN preferred. Benefits include competitive pay and comprehensive travel benefits.

Qualifications

• One year of recent PICU RN experience.
• Valid RN license in DC per state regulations.
• Current BLS certification.
• PALS or ENPC certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to pediatric patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per protocols.
• Prepare and operate advanced medical equipment, including ventilators.
• Monitor patient condition, record findings, and notify physicians of changes.
• Document history and assessments in the medical record.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards.
