American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Rapid City, SD. The role involves caring for patients from birth to 18 years in a combined Pediatric and PICU unit, with 12-hour shifts and 48 hours per week.

Requirements include an SD or compact RN license, 1.5+ years PICU RN experience (2+ for first-time travelers), BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and EPIC proficiency. Travel benefits and per diem apply.

Qualifications

• Active SD or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 1.5 years PICU RN experience; first-time travelers need at least 2 years.
• Current BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system.

Responsabilités

• Care for patients in a combined Pediatric and PICU unit with bed counts 15 general pediatrics and 5 PICU beds.
• Manage care from birth to 18 years, with some adult overflow for stable cases.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort with specified nurse-to-patient ratios.
