Healthforce is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for a hospital-based travel assignment focused on home health care in Bethel, Alaska. Start date is August 18, 2026, for a 26-week contract with 32 guaranteed hours per week and 5x8 shifts.

This role supports patient independence across the lifespan under supervision of a Physical Therapist. Travel healthcare experience is welcomed; competitive weekly pay ranges and full credentialing support are provided by Healthforce.

Formación

• Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program (usually a 2-year degree).
• Current Alaska PTA license in good standing or paperwork to work as Student PTA post-graduation.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination for travel assignments.
• Hospital-based setting experience preferred but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Direct, modify, and administer physical therapy modalities under supervision of the PT.
• Administer treatments and physical agents after the PT evaluation.
• Assist with restoration of function to maximize independence within patient limits.
• Participate in departmental operations, infection control, training, and safety programs.
• Provide care to patients across the lifespan from infants to geriatrics.
• Document progress and communicate with the PT and care team.
