Job summary

Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services is seeking a Travel Physical Therapy Assistant to support clinical teams across diverse settings. The PTA will implement individualized treatment plans, guide patients through exercises, document progress, and educate patients and caregivers.

The role requires an Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program, active licensure or eligibility in multiple states, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Job description

Role: Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) responsible for supporting physical therapy teams in diverse clinical settings.

• Key Responsibilities: Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans, help patients perform therapeutic exercises, monitor and document progress, educate patients and caregivers, maintain equipment, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe, patient-centered care.
• Qualifications: Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program, active licensure or eligibility in multiple states, with preferred clinical experience or strong skills for new grads. Must possess excellent communication, documentation, teamwork skills, and a passion for patient care.
• Skills & Attributes: Adaptability to new environments, ability to work under supervision of licensed PTs, and willingness to travel for assignments.
