We are seeking a motivated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join an inpatient rehabilitation team focused on intensive, goal-oriented patient care. This role provides the opportunity to work with patients recovering from stroke, orthopedic surgery, neurological conditions, or other complex medical diagnoses in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
The PTA will implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist, helping patients restore mobility, improve functional independence, and achieve safe discharge goals. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential to ensure high-quality care and measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver skilled physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed PT
Assist patients with transfers, gait training, balance, strengthening, and endurance exercises
Provide care for patients with neurological, orthopedic, or medically complex conditions
Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to supervising PT
Educate patients and caregivers on exercise programs and safe mobility strategies
Accurately document treatment sessions and progress notes in EMR
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including OT, SLP, nursing, and case management
Maintain productivity while ensuring patient-centered care
Ideal Candidate:
Active PTA license in practicing state
Inpatient rehab experience preferred
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Comfortable working in a team-oriented, fast-paced rehabilitation setting
